Dangote Cement treasury head buys 986 company shares worth nearly N1 million

Dangote Cement Head of Treasury Omode Emmanuel Oladimeji purchased 986 ordinary shares in the company for approximately ₦996,491. The May 4 transaction was completed in two tranches at ₦1,008.15 and ₦1,013.13 per share and subsequently disclosed to the Nigerian Exchange.
LAGOS — Dangote Cement Plc has disclosed that its Head of Treasury, Omode Emmanuel Oladimeji, purchased 986 ordinary shares in the company in a transaction valued at approximately N996,491.
The transaction was disclosed in a regulatory filing submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited as part of requirements governing share dealings by company insiders.
According to the filing, Oladimeji acquired the shares on May 4, 2026, through two transactions conducted in Lagos.
The first involved the purchase of 263 Dangote Cement shares at N1,008.15 per share.
He subsequently acquired another 723 shares at N1,013.13 each.
The two transactions brought the total number of shares purchased to 986, at an average price of N1,010.64 per share.
Based on the individual transaction prices and volumes disclosed by the company, the total purchase was worth approximately N996,491.
Dangote Cement discloses insider transaction
Dangote Cement formally reported the transaction in a Notification of Share Dealing by Insiders dated September 8, 2026.
The disclosure identified Oladimeji as the company's Head of Treasury and classified the filing as an initial notification.
Company Secretary Edward Imoedemhe signed the regulatory notice.
The shares involved are ordinary shares of Dangote Cement Plc traded on the Nigerian Exchange under the company's DANGCEM listing.
Insider dealing disclosures are designed to provide investors with transparency when directors, senior executives and other designated insiders buy or sell shares in the companies with which they are associated.
Such transactions do not by themselves establish how a company's shares will perform in the future.

The latest NGX disclosures also show another share purchase involving a member of Dangote Cement's treasury team.
Ismail Bala Mohammed, identified as Team Lead, Treasury, purchased 852 ordinary shares in a separate transaction.
According to the disclosure, those shares were acquired on May 8 at N1,173.23 per share.
The filings come as Dangote Cement prepares for a significant period in its capital market strategy.
The company is scheduled to hold a Capital Markets Day in London on September 21, following shareholder approval for its proposed secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange.
The event is expected to provide investors and other stakeholders with updates on Dangote Cement's strategy, operations and business priorities.
Dangote Cement remains listed on the Nigerian Exchange, where its corporate announcements, financial results and transactions involving designated insiders are disclosed to the investing public.
