AKWA IBOM POLICE BAN DRONES, FIREWORKS AHEAD OF TINUBU’S VISIT, IMPOSE TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS IN UYO
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has banned drone operations, fireworks and other explosive sound-producing devices in Uyo ahead of President Bola Tinubu's November 6, 2026, visit. Commissioner of Police Baba Mohammed Azare also announced temporary traffic restrictions affecting major routes and strategic locations, urging residents to use alternative roads. Tinubu is expected to commission projects including the new Victor Attah International Airport terminal, Aviation Village, Ring Road III Extension and Arise Resort Park, before attending an APC political rally.
