EFCC ARRAIGNS BUSINESSMAN AND COMPANY IN LAGOS OVER ALLEGED N12.5 BILLION FRAUD
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arraigned Adonu Kingsley Ifeanyi and his company, S Mobile Netzone Limited, before a Federal High Court in Lagos on a five-count charge alleging the handling of N12.56 billion as proceeds of obtaining by false pretence and stealing. The defendants pleaded not guilty. The court granted bail on previously set conditions and adjourned the case for trial. The company had earlier been named by the EFCC in a public alert concerning alleged illegal investment schemes.
