COURT DISMISSES NOLLYWOOD ACTOR EMEKA IKE’S ₦10 BILLION PRIVACY LAWSUIT
A Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed Nollywood actor Emeka Ike’s ₦10 billion fundamental-rights lawsuit against Lere Olayinka, an aide to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, and INEC. Justice Salim Ibrahim upheld preliminary objections that the suit was incompetent and improperly constituted and also dismissed the substantive claim for lack of proof. Ike had alleged that the publication of information relating to his voter registration violated his right to privacy and data protection.
