Ghana Petroleum Revenue Jumps 52% to $561.41 Million in First Half of 2026
Ghana’s petroleum revenue increased by approximately 52% to $561.41 million in the first half of 2026, up from $370.34 million during the same period last year, according to PIAC. Crude oil production rose 11.73% to 20.58 million barrels, led by Jubilee and Sankofa Gye Nyame, while higher realized oil prices and stronger corporate income tax collections boosted government receipts. PIAC cautioned that the improvement remains vulnerable to global oil-price volatility and warned that Ghana needs sustained upstream investment to maintain production.
