NORTHERN GHANA HIT BY MAJOR MOBILE BLACKOUT AS TRIPLE FIBRE CUTS DISRUPT MORE THAN 1,200 NETWORK SITES
A major telecommunications disruption has hit all five northern regions of Ghana and parts of the Oti Region after three separate fibre routes were cut on Saturday. The National Communications Authority says voice and mobile data services across 2G, 3G and 4G networks have been affected, while Communications Minister Sam George says 1,215 network sites are experiencing service denial or significant degradation. Technical teams have been deployed to restore connectivity.
