TEXAS WOMAN GETS 30 YEARS FOR KILLING SHOPPER AFTER ARGUMENT OVER A MISSING ‘THANK YOU’
Keona Hampton, 23, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to the 2025 murder of 41-year-old Cecilia “Cici” Simpson outside a PetSmart in Dallas. Police said the confrontation began after Simpson held a door open for Hampton at a nearby Five Below and became upset when Hampton did not say thank you. Their argument continued at PetSmart and later turned into a physical fight in the parking lot, where Hampton shot Simpson three times. Hampton pleaded guilty on September 23, 2026, and received 303 days of credit for time already served.
