UK REMOVES NIGERIA AND GHANA FROM DIRECT TEACHER QUALIFICATION ROUTE
The UK Department for Education has removed Nigeria and Ghana from the list of countries whose teachers can use the direct Apply for QTS in England service. The change took effect on September 9, 2026 and also affects India. British authorities cited difficulties verifying professional and employment information, but affected teachers can still explore alternative routes into teaching in England.
