LONDON POLICE REVIEW HANDLING OF 2019 LETTER CONTAINING ALLEGATIONS ABOUT MEGHAN’S FATHER
London’s Metropolitan Police says it received a letter in January 2019 containing allegations concerning Thomas Markle, the estranged father of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and later passed the information to the Sussexes’ office without sharing it with another law-enforcement agency. The force is reviewing its handling of the matter and considering whether to refer itself to the police watchdog. Philippine authorities separately confirm that Markle is under investigation over allegations involving child sexual abuse material. Markle denies the allegations, and no finding of guilt has been made.
