TEMA OIL REFINERY SAYS IT HAS RECEIVED OVER FIVE MILLION BARRELS OF CRUDE SINCE OPERATIONAL REVIVAL
Tema Oil Refinery Managing Director Edmond Kombat says the state-owned refinery has received more than five million barrels of crude oil during its operational recovery after recording no crude receipts in 2024. Cargoes have included Bonga, Baleine, Bonny Light and Ghana’s Jubilee Medium Sweet crude, while GNPC supplied about 950,000 barrels of Sankofa crude in September. TOR resumed crude refining in December 2025 following major maintenance and regulatory clearance. The five-million-barrel cumulative figure was disclosed by management and has not been independently audited in the reports reviewed by VNTV, while crude received should also be distinguished from the volume actually processed.
